Clinical Nutrition Consults

Easy as 1-2-3....

  1. Our clinical consult begins with an initial deep dive into your current symptoms, your past and current medical as well as your lifestyle status.

   2. After collection of this information, we provide a comprehensive nutritional assessment of

any nutrients that are out of balance due to intake and/or your body's ability to absorb them.

   3. We then provide you with a nutritional solution via meal plan suggestions, supplement

recommendations (if food alone cannot meet your nutritional needs, if you need digestive

enzyme support, or you are looking to use natural remedies for other imbalances), and/or

additional functional testing recommendations to really get to the root of the problem.

Functional Lab Tests

  • At any time throughout your care, we may provide recommendations in order to further assess your nutritional status on a deeper level.  This is often how we are able to get to the root of the problem that ails you.

  • We work with several functional testing labs and any recommendations are provided on a case-by-case basis.

  • All recommended testing is provided by our practice with test kits mailed directly to your home

  • Samples are collected in the comfort of your home.  If a Phlebotomist is required, recommendations can be made for in-home sample collection

  • Test kits and samples are mailed via a pre-paid FedEx package directly to the lab for processing.

Additional Clinical Specialties

  • Do you have IBS, Migraine, or Fibromyalgia?

  • Do you experience headaches, achy joints, brain fog, poor concentration, or low energy?

  • Do you have reactions to different foods you eat?  Even if they are foods you have eaten your whole life without any problems in the past?

Adverse reactions to foods and food-chemicals you eat can play a significant role in many common illnesses.

In addition to being a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist, Linda is also a Certified LEAP Therapist (CLT) specializing in food sensitivities.  We offer two different options for the LEAP program:

  1. First, we offer a screening to determine if the LEAP protocol is right for you.

  2. Second, if it is, we offer a complete package which includes the test and 6-months of consult support.

MRT refers to the Mediator Release Test.  This is a blood test that determines how your immune system reacts to 170 different foods and chemicals. Based on the results of your test, a Certified LEAP Therapist (CLT) will work with you to design a meal plan around the foods you are least reactive to and then gradually add in more foods as your gut heals and your symptoms diminish.

This tailored food program is known as the LEAP program which stands for Lifestyle Eating And Performance.  It was developed by Oxford Health Labs.  The illustrations below are from their website and explain in more detail how food sensitivities are identified.
