Initial Clinical Consult
The initial consult is for all new clients and takes approximately 90 minutes. It includes a comprehensive clinical assessment of your nutritional health with personalized dietary recommendations. This may also include optional additional functional nutrition testing and/or supplemental support recommendations, as needed.
Follow-up consults provide re-assessment and protocol adjustment as needed to ensure effective nutrition interventions and compliance. This is also when we would review any functional test results that you may have taken. We typically meet for an hour appointment. Please provide any other updated lab test results you may have.
Customized Meal Plans
Customized meal plans are available and are based on a nutritional screening that is done over the phone (or via a video conference meeting). These customized plans provide meal suggestions for 1 month and include all recipes as well as a way to generate a printable shopping list for convenience, keeping you organized for efficient meal prep time.
Linda is also a Certified LEAP Therapist specializing in food sensitivities. We offer two different options for the LEAP program. First, we offer a screening to determine if the LEAP protocol is right for you. Second, if it is, we offer a complete package which includes the test and 6-months of consult support.
LEAP Program Screening
If you have already heard of the LEAP program and are interested in trying this, then a brief consult is required. Since LEAP is not for everyone, we will discuss your symptoms as well as the commitment that would be required in order to follow this program successfully in order to determine if you would be a good candidate for the LEAP protocol.
MRT and LEAP Program Package
The LEAP package includes the MRT test kit* as well as a full 90 minute initial consult which includes a review of your test results. Also included are three additional 30-min follow-up meetings to guide you through the program as well as a complete booklet including a meal plan based on your results.
MRT and LEAP
MRT refers to the Mediator Release Test. This is a blood test that determines how your immune system reacts to 170 different foods and chemicals. Based on the results of your test, a Certified LEAP Therapist (CLT) will work with you to design a meal plan around the foods you are least reactive to and then gradually adding in more foods as your gut heals and your symptoms diminish. This tailored food program is known as the LEAP program which stands for Lifestyle Eating And Performance. It was developed by Oxford Health Labs. The illustrations below are from their website and explain in more detail how food sensitivities are identified.
